Has made the world of difference in my child, I cannot even begin to imagine where he would be today if he had not gone to WRUS, they have helped him grow into an intelligent, confident young man. I could not be happier!
My oldest son who turns 16 in January started Wye River Upper School in March of last school year. His 9th grade year. We were in public school in Dorchestef County. Public high school was proving to be a nightmare. The D grades were rewarded, as long as kids showed up to school, that was great. He wasn't learning. He hated playing sports. He is a hands on learner with some add issues which the public school system couldn't seem to accommodate my sons needs. We had heard of Wye River through a dear friend whose son was THRIVING and couldn't say enough good about the school, staff, everything. We were blessed to have an opportunity to interview with, our son shadowed a day and began his exciting adventure at this wonderful school. It has been amazing. They get our kids. Matt is now playing soccer and loving it, he comes home daily with stories to tell about the lessons he learns. They are preparing our children for the future. If you have a child that learns a little differently, has add, adhd, I encourage you to give Wye River UPPER School in Centerville on the Eastern Shore a call. You will not be sorry you did. We were so grateful for this wonderful school. Our daughter was finally able to learn at a pace that was tailored to her needs. The teachers and staff are extremely caring and available to the students and parents.

Excellent school for bright kids who have trouble learning in a public school classroom--i.e. kids with ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia, or some other learning disability. An oasis of educational sanity with a well-rounded college-track program.
